Notes

Revenant is a character entirely centered around damage. You have no movement, no gimmicks, and very little easily available CC. All you have is damage damage damage. As such, your build should be customized to maximize that damage at all costs. Using a defensive build on Revenant is a complete waste of his potential (thus my distaste for Absolution). Because of this, as well as the function of your ultimate and Ortus, you will benefit greatly from a hyper-aggressive playstyle. Revenant is a feast or famine character, and you can't afford to starve.

Despite this though, early game is going to be rough. You have a very slow start as a Revenant, so you need to be cautious without being cowardly. Taking advantage of minion aggression is a great way to do this. Luring enemy minions closer to your tower and either slowing or freezing the lane will allow you to get all the farm you need without putting yourself in unnecessary risk. Additionally, this lets you attack the enemy bot-laners if they get too brave for their own good.

Right around Level 6 or 7, when you've got your first full item and your ultimate, you need to start upping your aggression. Push further into the lane, and focus on getting one of the laners to roughly 2-3 bars of health (about half health for Enchanter-type supports at this state of the game). Once they pass that threshold, you should be able to pull them into your ultimate and take them out, assuming your aim is good enough and their blink is down. If you're not confident, let them get a little lower. Remember that you root them immediately after ulting, allowing you to get 1 or 2 free shots off on them. If you're good at planning, you'll ult them on your last bullet in the magazine, almost guaranteeing the kill in one shot if they're low enough.

You should only get more aggressive as the game goes on. Your health will remain stagnant, but you should have no troubles taking out much stronger enemies. If you have trouble knowing when to use Ortus, spend some time fighting as a Midlaner and use the Obelisk crest. This will get you used to using your crest much more often, as well as helping you know when to use it to secure a kill. The more stacks you can build on Ortus, the stronger you will be.

With that, you should be good to go! Remember to ward your lane (surprise Crunches are your worst nightmare), and remind your jungler to get Fangtooth with you once he's on your side of the map.

First Back Item
Core Items (In Order)
1+ Tank on enemy team (90% Build, strong Q+E synergy. You'll typically build this 3rd)
2+ Tanks on enemy team. (The more health/armor the enemy builds, the better. You'll typically build this 3rd or 4th)
Anti-heal option. (Only build this if the enemy team has 2 or more strong healing options that aren't potions.)
Viable Flexible Options (Likely built 4th or 5th. All around B or C tier, choose on playstyle and situation.)
Highly Situational, either low D or F tier. (Side note, Absolution is only worth taking if 3-4 out 5 enemies have strong CC potential)
