Console

I am on Playstation, how can I find myself on your Website?
There is 3 Ways to find yourself as a Console Player. Once you found yourself you are able to claim your profile and rename yourself.

Option 1: Match ID during the Match Take note of the Match ID midgame. You can find it when you are inside a match/draft on the bottom left corner. It should look like this: 331586a7306543c7ae1a23eb586061bc

Option 2: Replay ID after the Match

Just like Option 1, but instead of getting the Match ID midgame, you go into the Watch -> Personal Tab on the Main Menu and Copy the Replay ID from any of your Matches.
You append the Replay ID to the following link: https://omeda.city/matches/
It would look something like this: https://omeda.city/matches/331586a7306543c7ae1a23eb586061bc

Option 3: Finding PC Players you played with Check your Game History Ingame and look for a PC Player. There is nothing that differentiates PC Players from Console Players, so the best you can do here is to try until you are lucky.

Once you find a PC Player on our Website, you look for the Match that you played with them and find yourself this way.

How do I rename myself?
After claiming your profile, click on "Account" at the bottom left in the navigation, or use this link: Account.
You then will be able to rename yourself in the profile settings.

Profile Claiming

How do I claim my profile and when should I do it?
You generally don't need to claim your profile unless you want to get certain benefits, like being able to link your Twitch, Discord, create an animated custom tag or to change your name as a console player.

To claim your profile, follow these steps:

  • Find your player profile, where you can see your matches, using the search on the top right of the website or the search in the leaderboard.
  • Press the claim button on your profile, located below your MMR and rank. You will then be redirected to your user profile with further instructions
  • You will see a set of items on your user profile. Start a Practice match and buy those items in the correct order. You can attack the golden Orb at spawn to get Gold.
  • After buying all items, you can sell them and buy whatever you want.
  • Finish the Game by Destroying the Enemy Core

MMR

What rating algorithm do you use?
We use a Bayesian skill rating system based on factor graphs. Our approach shares principles with widely recognized systems in competitive gaming, including those found in Trueskill.

How many placement matches do I have to play?
There is not a fixed number of matches you have to play; placement matches end when the system has reached a certain confidence in a player's rating. On average, this process takes 25 matches.

How is MMR beeing calculated?
The amount of MMR an individual player gains depends on the system's confidence in the player's rating and the probability his team has to win. If a player has high odds of winning, he generally gains less MMR for a win.

Why do some people in my games gain more MMR than me, even if they peformed worse?
The confidence in the player's rating was lower than yours; if the system is less confident in a player's rating, he will gain and lose more MMR to bring him faster to the rating he belongs at. A single match never paints the full picture, you may have been able to carry him in this match, but if he consistently performs worse than his enemies, he will derank just as fast as he upranks.

Why do my stats not influence how much MMR I gain?
Generally, this mechanic is avoided in most games as it opens up the possibility to manipulate the system. Players may start to 'steal' kills whenever possible or just stay in their lane and keep farming to increase their CS and boost their rating. However, there are some games that account for these statistics, but those games are using an uncoupled MMR system where the internal 'accurate' MMR is used to find opponents and a visual rating that doesn't reflect skill as accurately but gives the user a better feeling by rewarding him for those stats.

In all games you play, your team has a certain probability to win, if you consistently perform better than the win probability your rating suggests, you will uprank. This also means that your stats technically do influence your rating, but only if they lead to you winning more games.
