Notes

This build is best built with an ADC you are in comms with as you lack armor until late game. Remember, you're still a support, but you now have the ability to chunk enemies quickly to give your team the first kill of every team fight.

  • The first item is Soul Binder. It gives you some ability haste, max mana, and solid magical power, but having the passive online early is huge. Every time you hit a stun ball or a photon beam at (basically)beyond basic attack range, you gain an additional magical power for the entire match. This can really add up.

  • Second we build Prophecy. Again, ability haste, magical power, and now attack speed. But what's huge here is that we are now doing magical damage with our basic attacks. By late game once our passive from Soul Binder and the rest of our items are online, our basic attacks will do a surprising amount of damage.

  • Third I usually build Tainted Scepter because life steal heroes ganking can be a pain, as well as to deal with Narbash or Phase in lane. Plus we're keeping with the theme, magical power, ability haste, this time with a little max health to boot.

  • Fourth/ third if the enemy team doesn't have heals or life steal, Marshall. You get attack speed, your ADC gets attack speed, you've been building magical power and are doing magical damage with your basics as well as abilities. Your ADC is likely building physical power/ critical chance. Very good combo for both of you to be attacking as fast as possible.

The final two items can go in any order and can be swapped in or out with other things. I'll categorize below.

  • An armor item- usually Elafrost, Crystalline Cuirass, but really whatever you want. The biggest thing is to take a look at the greatest threat on the enemy team and build the armor that negates them the most.

  • Another Damage item- I like Noxia because it's really easy to hit a second ability after hitting your stun ball or ult, so now you're doing 5% of the target max health as bonus damage, plus more ability haste. I've gone sky splitter instead, which is fun as well. Megacosm could be good.

Reminder: You are not the finisher. This is not an "I'm going to win all-ins" build. This is a "I'm going to do a surprising amount of damage before I peel off and let my Carry/ Jungle finish them off" build.

Let me know what you all think of it!
