This deck provides a nice balance between shielding and healing with some early damage. It should be noted that this deck maintains shielding values nearly as high as going full magical power.

Building magical power early creates higher shielding values than Wellspring or Tainted Totem. Golem's gift offers basic armor, which will help a bit in lane, while Astral Catalyst enables you to potentially activate your ultimate ability more often, granting more overall shielding capability. Replace Astral Catalyst with Azure Core if you desire more mana.

In addition to purchasing order, I have found that Wellspring and Timewarp can be swapped without too much of a change in performance.
