Notes

Note: Anytime in the items section I refer to "opponent" or the person you are going "into" I mean the person most likely to match your split, not necessarily your opponent in lane. Exception being first items as you may get it before laning ends and the components help with laning.

This build is entirely for split pushing and essentially never grouping (with exceptions of course).

At 20 minutes you basically stat check everyone in the game unless they are fed and because of your sustain you can stay in side lane nearly indefinitely. At this point take as many resources as you can (enemy jg camps, waves, buffs, etc.). No one can 1v1 you and you have the best self peel in the game, so it is very hard to get punished.

This build is how I play Sev and get the most fun out of him. It definitely isn't optimal but it is for side laning and 1v1.

First Items / wave clear items / early dueling item. Take Fireblossom into easy lanes (Note: always build brimstone first out of the two components, it typically allows you to win any all in at this stage of the game. It also helps with stacking). Tainted Guard into pd bruiser matchups with a lot of healing. Mutilator for anti-tank, good early game, and the ability haste is nice.
Second item / general survivability. Raiment is a good all rounder (if you don't build it here build it as your second to last / last item as it is rarely not worth it to pick up). Consider not taking when they have a lot of % hp damage and when taking mutilator as you need resistances. Tainted Bastion into Countess and any other magic damage character that builds magical lifesteal. Unbroken Will into heavy cc comps. Wardens if they have two people with crit and one of them is going to match your split. Frostguard into fast attackers.
Third item / damage items. World breaker is best into squishies and in general as it provides the best scaling. Megacosm is good into other heal stackers and tanks. Lifebinder if they aren't building anti-heal and they don't have a lot of damage.
Last two items / whatever items you need. You can really build any of the previously mentioned items with extra ones here. Choose whatever you are lacking in (typically ability haste / resistances). Stonewall when they have several pd characters and more than one of them is coming to match your split. Crystalline is the same deal as stonewall except with md. Void Helm is good into the mirror matchup and any tanky magic damage character.
Crests. Obelisk 100% of the time, part of the reason why you can never be out scaled, makes trading really potent, take buffs faster, lots of extra damage, etc. Only take Razorback (or any other tank crest) if you are hard losing lane and need the extra tankiness / peel (which you shouldn't ever need). If you are losing that badly just go full tank / util and team fight. You'll be more important in team fights than sitting in side.
