Predecessor Builds > Gadget > 🔥SPICY🔥ELECTRIC WIZARD
Gadget hero explained:
Gadget is a midlane hero that thrives on keeping the safe distance while poking the enemy. She is perfect for zoning the battlefield and making enemies stay put wherever you want. Most of her damage will come from abilities, so make sure to use the sticky mine (Q) as much as possible. If you play against close range heroes, make sure to set the security gate (E) at the perfect place and possibly follow up with your ultimate. Use obelisk to make yourself a bigger threat with your basic attacks.
Items:
Obelisk - crest
Every 15s, Gadget has a chance to kill an enemy unit to boost her basic attack. For every new stack Gadget will deal 50 (+12% magical) Damage. You will start small, but if you reach 20 to 30 stacks, the grind will start to appear. While there are pro players out there, most people don't know how to use it, so if you are one of them, either start learning it with me or switch to other crests I mentioned.
Item 1 - Megacosm
Megacosm is usually a starting item. It takes the percentage of enemys health using it to deal damage overtime. This only proves that even tanks can be punished by a good Gadget.
Item 2 - Overseer
Gadget's Tesla Dome (R) has a very big radius and with good ground control with security gate (E) and seek and destroy (RMB), it can become a powerful killing machine and that's what overseer does. Overseer boosts your ultimate damage by 15% and it heals you by 25% of the damage dealt to heroes. If you play your cards right, you will drain enemy's health and get yours higher.
Item 3 - Wraith Leggings
At this point, rotation is a key to success in working as a team. Your electric gate (E) probably won't be enough and the game still being mid-way of the end, you will have to start seeking a better rotation and benefit in team fights. Help your team win the team fights and secure the objectives in your teams hand.
Item 4 - Magical rod - Azure Core
As a starting item you should, with almost every other midlaner, take Magical Rod. For every enemy unit killed you will be granted with +5 max mana, plus 10 for camp leaders. Magical Rod can only be upgraded to level 3 when building Azure Core. It depends on what type of game you are playing but it should usually be your fourth or fifth item.
Azure Core is a great defensive item, granting you with (+20%) Shield for 5s when being below 40% health. It's also a great item for scaling mana and with shock absorber (passive), you can abuse your sustainability in fights.
Abilities
Skill order: Q > RMB > E
Against close range: Q > E > RMB
Sticky mine (Q) - Launch a sticky mine that attaches to any Enemy Hero in its path, or any nearby Unit upon landing. After 2.5s, the mine explodes dealing 130/180/230/280/330 (+75%) magical damage. Poking enemy from a long distance will surely make them hate you. Combining it with Soulbinder will definitely make you a high damage dealer from afar.
Electric gate (E) - Throw down an electrical gate for 5s, granting Allied Units that pass through 30% decaying movement speed for 3s. If an Enemy Hero passes through the gate triggers, dealing 100/140/180/220/260 (+40%) magical damage and rooting them for 1s. Keeping the safe distance is a key in knowing how to play Gadget, but its cooldown being too high will sometimes make you vulnerable.
Seek and Destroy (RMB) - Release an airborne droid that can be reactivated mid-flight to stop it in place. Upon stopping, the droid deals 120/170/220/270/320 (+100%) magical damage over 2.5s to Enemies beneath it and slows them by 30%. If you apply electric gate (E) right, this ability can become the greatest damage dealer of all her abilities. Follow it up with sticky mine (Q) will make enemy become scared of you.
Tesla Dome (R) - Unleash Gadget's Tesla Dome, dealing 420/620/820 (+210%) magical damage over 5s to all Enemies caught within. Each instance of damage shreds the Target's magical armor by 3.5% for 3s and briefly slows them by 40%. Surely one of the greatest ultimate for zoning, Tesla Dome, will definitely change the tides of the game. Throwing it in the middle of the fight will force enemy heroes to retreat and allowing your allies to use electric gate (E) to chase them down and become a star player.
Shock Absorber (passive) - When Gadget receives damage from an Enemy Hero or Monster, she gains a shield equal to 15% of her maximum mana for 3s. Upon removal the shield explodes, dealing 40 (+8 per level) (+25%) magical damage to nearby Enemies. If an enemy tries to attack you, passive will activate, making you more durable in a fight.
