Crest is situational. Epoch vs Gideon/Morigesh/Shinbi/Grimm. Otherwise its preference. Magician crest is viable but you'll have less max mana.
Core Items
Combustion for dmg and mana, then Wraith Leggings for mobility and MP. Caustica for MP, mana regen, and shred.
Situational
Noxia and Oblivion Crown for more damage. Go Noxia if you're good at the stun+bomb combo.
Tainted Scepter for more dmg and anti-heal.
Dreambinder for dmg and sustain.
Gal Greaves for sustain and extra mobility.
Vs Magic
For dmg + sustain vs mages go Spellbreaker.
