Narbussy's Narbash Build (v0.8)

There is some variance with the build depending on how the game is going and what your win conditions are.

  1. Crest - Leafsong
This is really up to you. I like taking Leafsong because it helps with running down heroes or retreating from them.
But you can really take any crest from the Guardian/Consort trees:

    • Rift Walkers are always good, but puts you at risk as you won't be super tanky.
    • Sanctification can be harder to use in my opinion, but if you can react it can save people from a Murdock/Feng/Countess ult/ect. Also has extra Heal/Shield power.
    • Tranquility is a bit unnecessary on Narbash as you have enough healing, but 10% dmg mitigation for teammates is good
    • Silentium is good for shutting down an enemy for a few seconds. Can turn off Gideon/Narbash ults and can be used proactively to gain an edge
    • Reclamation is the only Crest I wouldn't recommend taking. I find it's usefulness is very limited and you'll find yourself getting more value from other crests. Can be used to stop a Fey/Riktor ult
  2. 1st Back - Hallowed Braid

    • You'll want to get your Hallowed Braid online as soon as possible. You should really try to get it on your first back, but sometimes you'll run low on mana and have no choice but to back early. Either way this is the first item you want so you can start stacking it and will help with Narbash's mana issues. You don't want to finish this item off immediately however. You will probably build Requiem eventually, but I don't think you get enough from completing the item first
  3. 1st Item - Tainted Totem

    • This is a must buy every game. Way too many Narbash's don't build this first or at all. Ignoring the anti healing, this item gives you both physical and magical armor, extra mana regen, some Ability haste (For Thunk and Speed boost), Slows opponents by 10%, and makes your healing 15% stronger. Now add the fact that nearly every team will have someone who benefits from healing, this is the best complete item for Narbash to build.
  4. 2nd Item - Requiem/Marshal/Crystal Tear
After you complete Tainted Totem, it's time to look at your team and figure out who the carry/strongest is. This decision changes what I build for my second item. Some games your carry will be useless and building items that help them will not help the team. Recognizing who your "carry" is and building for them is the best way to win on Narbash. However in most games I find myself Finishing Requiem at this point.

    • Requiem: This is normally built when your best positioned teammate is a Physical Attacker that isn't building attack speed (Crunch/Kira/Rev/Feng/etc) The 20 physical power and 10% lifesteal granted is extra good with a character who already has lifesteal. Plus you get an extra 10% Heal/Shield Power.
    • Marshal: This is built when your best positioned teammate is building attack speed/on-hit (Sparrow/Grux/etc). The 20% attack speed and 25 magic damage on-hit can be the difference maker for attack speed builds. However this item has no additional Heal/Shield power.
    • Crystal Tear: This is built when your best positioned teammate is a Magical Attacker (Shinbi/Gideon/Sevarog/etc) The bonus 40 magic power and 20 ability haste is great for all Magic Attackers. Plus you get an extra 10% Heal/Shield Power. *Requiem/Marshal is dependent on your strongest teammates build, not character. Ex. A sparrow building crit might benefit more from Requiem than Marshal. On the other hand a Feng building attack speed might want Marshal instead of Requiem.
  5. 3rd Item - Requiem/Marshal/Crystal Tear
This item is a continuation of your 2nd item choice. If you have a second teammate that is doing well, having this 3rd item complement them is a smart thing to do or if one these items continues to compliment your strongest teammate that is fantastic. Bonus points if it can compliment your strongest and second strongest teammate at the same time. Requiem/Marshal are normally what I go with as both will help ADC/Bruisers. But Crystal Tear is great to help boost mages.

  6. 4th Item - Dynamo or Flux Matrix/Vanguardian
This item choice is all about reducing your dmg taken from the opponents strongest character.

    • Dynamo: HP/Armor/Ability haste all benefit Narbash. And a bonus 10% dmg to any enemy you Thunk/Ult is always welcome.
    • Flux Matrix: Good if you need some magic armor and you have a strong Magic Attacker on the team.
    • Vanguardian: Good for magic armor if you don't have a strong Magic Attacker on the team.
  7. 5th Item - Wellspring
This item choice is just for the raw boost to healing. The 20% Heal/Shield power plus Vital/Soothing waters is a big bonus to your teams sustain. Sadly only Narbash's Thunk/Ult can activate these effects so Wellspring isn't always the best item to build and why it's last in the build path.
*Some great alternative items to build are Dynamo/Vanguardian/Void Helm/Flux.
