Predecessor Builds > Steel > Steel Support
Many people's first item is Fire Blossom, but if you're playing support, you'd build that in the late game and here's why. Building Fire Blossom on a support in Predecessor can inadvertently lead to stealing last hits from the carry due to the item's lifesteal effect. Here's why:
Fire Blossom provides lifesteal, allowing a percentage of damage dealt to be returned as health.
While this is beneficial for a bruiser's survivability in combat,
on a support, the lifesteal can unintentionally steal last hits from minions that should be going to the carry for farming.
Each last hit taken from the carry delays their progression and puts them at an economic disadvantage compared to the opposing carry.
This contradicts the support's role of facilitating the carry's farm rather than hindering it.
From a mathematical-economic perspective, the lifesteal from Fire Blossom on a support is a negative side effect that can compromise the carry's farm, leading to a mid-game disadvantage. It is a suboptimal choice compared to more suitable support items for the role.
